ABOUT THE SHOW

Telling the story of soul legend Etta James’ turbulent life and features some of her most beloved songs including Tell Mama, Something’s Got A Hold On Me, Sugar On The Floor, the heart rending I’d Rather Go Blind, her iconic signature song At Last and more.

Vika puts her heart and soul into this unforgettable show and is joined on stage by some of Australia’s finest and funkiest musicians.

During a long and tumultuous career that saw her win six Grammy Awards and a star on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Etta James has influenced a vast array of artists from Diana Ross, Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart and is acknowledged as inspiring the careers of a new generation of singers from Christina Aguilera, Joss Stone, Adele and the late Amy Winehouse.

Sadly, Etta’s frantic recording and touring schedule coincided with her ever-growing addiction problems and over time she not only sang the blues…she lived the blues.

Mercifully, her passion for life and strength of character saw her conquer her demons and she continued to record and perform into her seventies.

With respect, this is her story.

A SMASHING PERFORMANCE!

Vika Bull is simply outstanding in her performance of Etta's songs. Add to her sublime vocals a group of very talented musicians and together you have a tribute of the highest calibre to one of the greatets singers of the twentieth century. Favourite moment? Hearing Etta's songs brought to life by such a gifted vocalist Describe your experience at this gig overall I left the venue feeling that I'd experienced something truly special.

At Last – An Unforgettable Experience

Took my fiancee to At Last for Valentine's Day. What a great decision that was. We held hands the whole time and so many of the songs brought us to tears. Vicka Bull is just incredible. What a performance. We both love 'Love Songs' and have been agonising over the zillions of choices for our bridal waltz. And the winner is 'At Last'. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Vika Is Sassy, Strong And Tendor

We went to one of the first performances of this extraordinary show in Melbourne a few years ago. Vika is the perfect fit to pay tribute to one of the world icons Etta James. Her range and strength makes her so versatile to meet the demands of presenting and doing justice for this master. She is a great story teller and we were riveted through out the entire show. This really is a "must see" and Vika now gets her opportunity after a long and varied career in Australia to be on the World stage. Two extraordinary women - decades apart, yet kindred souls. Favourite moment? Loved EVERY bit of this show! Describe your experience at this gig overall The relatively small Atheneum Theatre mad it feel like Vika was singing and talking to me.

What A Show!

We have seen the show twice now. Both times at the Sydney Opera House. The second time we brought a crowd of friends who enjoyed it as much as we did. If you have a chance to see this show you won't be disappointed. Vika Bull is so amazing. Powerful renditions of Etta, some emotional and some so fabulous you will want to get up and dance! We have the album and when we play it at home the whole experience comes back instantly. So good! Not to be missed. Favourite moment? Too many to choose, but the song 'At Last' is a show stopper. THIS VOICE…

Vika Bull has always been one of my favourite singers and I've never felt she has received the attention she deserves. From singing a guide vocal many years ago on 'Locomotion' to help out a young TV starlet named Kylie Minogue, to years of being the world's greatest backing vocalist (with her equally extraordinary sister Linda), FINALLY here is a vehicle to bring her powerhouse voice to a wider audience. NO-one else could bring Etta to life like Vika. Think you can prove me wrong? Knock yourself out - I'll personally refund your ticket if you can find a better vocalist for this role.

An Outstanding Show That Must Be Seen

I was absolutely amazed by this show , Can't be put int words the talented voice of Vika Bull. Infact it was so good i went back a second time . I am English and now reside in Australia. I would go and see it for a third time. Vika has such a soulful voice and is the right person to take on this role. As for the back up musicians they are fantastic. So go and see it , you will not be disapointed. Favourite moment? Can't pick a favourite moment as it was all so good. Describe your experience at this gig overall. Fantastic.

Goosebumps From Start To Finish

THAT VOICE! Vika is an incredible vocalist and an absolute joy to watch and listen to. Her energy on stage is palpable and her love for Etta James really shines through. Very few singers I've seen live can hold a candle to the powerful belt of Vika. As for the band? Phenomenal!

Vika Bull Is Magnificent

Vika Bull singing Etta James - a match made in heaven. My partner and I have been to see the show twice and were blown away each time. Took my mother and sister the second time and they became instant Vika fans, The band is also fantastic. Favourite moment? Talent from down under

I recently attended this show in Brisbane Australia, I had seen it previously about 18 months ago. This show is fantastic in its simplicity. Great voice, great musicians just sit back and enjoy, if you don't feel like dancing, I would be surprised. Vikka is an unassuming gracious lady, I wish her and support people best wishes.
